Select
a Sales Agent
How
do you know who you should work with to find a property? It's not easy to know
who to trust...here are some suggestions to help you find an excellent agent
to help you find a home:
- Ask a friend to tell you many
of the details of their last transaction. Make sure you understand how their
realtor was always representing your friend's best interst.
- Interview more than one realtor.
Get an idea of the levels of service and the styles that best suit YOUR needs.
- If you're not sure a realtor
is right for you, ask for a buyer-broker agreement that may be cancelled at
any time with written notice. (see "Choose Form of Agency" for more
information)
- Don't be afraid to ask questions
that you need to know, "Do you work evenings?", "Are you available
weekdays?", "How well do you know the area?", "Can I email
you?", ...
- Consider realtors who work
in partnerships or teams, if one partner is not available, you're covered
by the other partner. Also, two heads are better than one, why not take advantage
of double the expertise? Another way to double your resources is to ask a
referral agent to suggest an agent; you will have 2 independent agents tracking
your progress.
- If you are having trouble
finding a realtor, email me by clicking on "Questions" at the top
of the page. I'll match you with a realtor you can trust to help you find
a home. I'll remain in contact with you and the realtor throughout your buying
process to make sure everything goes smoothly.
